ENV Jobs for WV!

WVU/EPA Environmental Job Training Program

WVU Safety & Health Extension & the Northern WV Brownfields Assistance Center team up with EPA to help train northern WV students for placement in environmental technician jobs.

Who? Students are being recruited primarily from northern West Virginia communities impacted by brownfields.We are looking for trainees interested in starting,advancing or transitioning to a career in environmental work.

When? Fall Classes to be held from Nov 12 - Dec 7

Tentative Fall Training Schedule

Why?  Possible Jobs on the Horizon.

What Jobs? Environmental/Technical/Field Services:

  • 40-Hour OSHA Field Technicians
  • Air Quality Specialists
  • Soil Technicians/Testers
  • Air Sampling/Monitoring Personnel
  • Demolition Assistants
  • Drillers/Driller Helpers
  • General Laborers (Haz/Non-Haz)
  • Heavy Equipment Operators (Haz/Non-Haz)
  • Inspection Personnel
  • Remediation Clean-Up

We will keep our contact to a minimum, but having your information will help us put you in contact with our trainees, provide you with trainee profiles to help you recruit you're your business, and allow you to provide feedback on how we can make this training more helpful to your firm's needs.

Our Opportunities Fair is currently scheduled for March 30th at 2:00 pm at the WVU Safety & Health Training Center in Westover. Please contact us if you would like to meet and/or interview our trainees at this event.
